This year, both Faculty of Matter Sciences & Computer Science, and Faculty of Science and Technology, at Khemis-Miliana University , are organizing the 3rd edition of the Computational & Applied Physics Symposium: CAPS 2025.

Since this year corresponds to the 100 anniversary of Quantum Theory, this edition is celebrating the International Year of Quantum.

The pleanry talk will given by Prof. BOUAYED Noureddine (Univ. Blida 1), under the following title:

" How quantum physics shapes our world"

" Every time you access a hard drive, use GPS, or undergo an MRI scan, you are directly relying on the counterintuitive laws of quantum mechanics. This theory not only describes the smallest building blocks of reality but also gives rise to technologies that shape modern life. At the same time, it reveals a profoundly strange universe: particles can cross barriers, exist in multiple states simultaneously, and influence each other instantaneously across vast distances. This talk will explore how these principles drive the evolution of different branches of physics, enable practical innovations, and affect human well-being."
